People Are Important

By Mo Mydlo

I woke up to spend my time with Jesus and I was covered with a deeper sense of thankfulness this morning. With each text from family members saying “all good here” more and more gratefulness.

I looked out to the farm and kept hearing the song I’ve been practicing on guitar. “I saw the light. I saw the light. No more darkness, no more night. Now I’m so happy, no sorrow in sight, praise The Lord. I saw the light.”

Hurricanes make us realize what is important…people. People are important.

Trees, homes, fences and things can be replaced. People are precious.

When I say “Ian” I will remember what the name “Ian” means “God is gracious.”

Each day is a gift. Laying my head down last night, hearing the wind whip up against the windows, I prayed Psalm 91 over my loved ones like I do everyday. But, I felt each word deeper last night. I yearned for the morning so I could hear their text come through “all good here.”

I mainly prayed for loved ones who don’t know Jesus yet. For those loved ones who need to bow a knee to Him to guarantee their name is written in The Lambs Book of Life. I mainly covered them until the blood does. I couldn’t bear to think of them perishing apart from The Blood.

This message isn’t just for those of us in Florida. This message is for the world. What is important to you? Where are you spending your time and resources? What will last if a storm comes through? Its our love for God and people.

God is gracious and people are precious. And, tomorrow isn’t promised. Only eternal life is, eternal life with Jesus or eternal life without Him.

Thank you Jesus for another day to love you and people and make sure Heaven gets populated.

If you have not, Make Jesus Lord today. Today is the day of salvation.

“No more darkness. No more night.”

Thank you God for your protection. Now help us go love those who need help.

In Jesus Name.

Amen
