Tamara is a wife, mother, grandma, and follower of Jesus who currently resides in Clermont, FL. When Tamara married Karl Lindhorst eight years ago, they created their big, blended family that continues to grow and flourish. Along with spending time with her family, Tamara enjoys traveling, gardening, concerts, volunteering, and a variety of sports.
Tamara’s professional career has included a wide breadth of management experiences where she has managed substantial resources, led highly skilled teams, and overseen complex projects and events. Tamara spend 12 years working in the for-profit world in a variety of Marketing leadership positions until she took a position as Executive Director in the non-profit world.
The J.M. McDonald Sports Complex, an indoor, family recreation center, where she led the start-up of this new 501c3, developed and grew the organization over 12 years into one of the premier recreation facilities in Central NY.
Before accepting the position with Unforsaken Women, Tamara has been teaching the next generation of Sport Management students coming out of programs at SUNY Cortland and Cazenovia College.
In addition to writing and teaching, Tamara has held several volunteer board positions for a variety of charitable groups and organizations including Cortland Figure Skating Club, the Global Leadership Summit at Grace Christian Fellowship, MOPS Small Group at Homer Baptist Church, and Leave a Legacy, just to name a few.
Tamara’s heart is in serving and loving Jesus. She has a passion for helping women, particularly those who go through challenging relationships, and sharing a way out with the light of our Savior.
